Michele Little Transforms The Sonnet at Tennyson’s Senior Living Experience

Michele Little Leads Transformation at The Sonnet at Tennyson

Under the leadership of Executive Director Michele Little, The Sonnet at Tennyson is making a bold transformation, shifting the perception of senior living in Madison. With over 30 years of experience in asset management and senior care, Michele is dedicated to improving the lives of residents and creating a warm and active community that encourages well-being and connection.

Michele has spearheaded the introduction of a robust events calendar, offering residents a variety of activities that promote mental, physical, and social well-being. From engaging exercise classes and music sessions to fun bingo nights, special guest visits, and outings, there is no shortage of opportunities for residents to stay active and connected. “We focus on creating an environment where residents feel valued, engaged, and empowered,” says Michele.

As part of her commitment to resident care, Michele also introduced a dedicated physical therapy room, providing residents with personalized rehabilitation services designed to help them maintain independence and improve their quality of life.

In addition to physical and mental activities, The Sonnet at Tennyson offers therapy animal visits, which have been shown to boost emotional well-being. Special trips and outings are also planned to help residents enjoy new experiences and explore their surroundings.

Outside of work, Michele’s passion for senior care is reflected in her personal life, where she enjoys spending time on her 30-acre farm, harvesting walnuts and hickory nuts, and making homemade maple syrup. Her approach to care is rooted in a strong belief that seniors deserve to live full, fulfilling lives, supported by a community that feels like home.

At The Sonnet at Tennyson, we’re committed to providing more than just a place to live – we’re creating a space where residents can thrive. Our focus is on fostering an environment where each individual’s needs are met with compassion and respect,” says Michele Little, Executive Director.
